No. You can checkout using "Guest Checkout" and then establish
an email/password for the order afterwards or create an account. By creating an
account you will be able to shop faster, be updated on an order’s status, and
have record of the orders you have previously made. Customers with registered
accounts will also be able to use store credits online and are eligible for our
rewards/loyalty program.
If you prefer not to register, you can opt to check out as a Guest. Guest check out means that you will not be able to access your account online. We will email you with status updates and tracking information, but you will not be able to check details, nor will you be able to access previous orders with us on the website.

When you receive your order, please follow these guidelines:
Upon receipt of your new merchandise, please inspect it carefully as to contents and condition. All claims for damaged or missing items MUST be reported to Golf Max within two (2) business days of receipt of merchandise. In the event your package arrives damaged, it is the responsibility of the customer to contact the carrier to inspect the package to assure full refund/replacement. All packaging MUST be retained until the problem has been resolved.
Carefully unpack and inspect all merchandise. Please DO NOT damage the manufacturer's packaging. DO NOT fill out the manufacturer's warranty cards until you are absolutely sure you want to keep your merchandise. We cannot accept merchandise for return with completed warranty cards of damaged or missing collateral material. Do not throw away any of the packaging materials such as boxes, instructions, inserts, bags, and contents until you are completely sure you want to keep the equipment.
Keep your Invoice with your important records.
Golf Max will try to process stock orders same-day, whenever possible. Otherwise, you can expect your order to be processed within approximately one business day, provided the items are in stock and there are no problems with the payment verification. Golf Max does not guarantee same day shipping. Orders will not be processed on weekends and holidays.
Custom orders typically take two to three weeks, but vary based on the specific item and customization process.
Any items that are unavailable will be placed on back order, and the remainder of your order will be shipped. Once we receive the back-ordered item(s), we will ship them as soon as possible.
We will gladly special order any product for you on a special order
basis. Special Orders must be prepaid and cannot be cancelled at anytime for
any reason. Golf Max will issue a refund only if the merchandise has not
shipped from the manufacturer and 30 calendar days have passed.
We do try and offer volume or wholesale discounts. In addition, Golf Max tries to offer the best possible price for you, and offers these great
discounts to all of our customers through our website. Anytime we receive any
specials or promotions, we will immediately post them on our website so our
customers have the greatest advantage.

All freight charges are to be paid by the customer. UPS and FedEx are our preferred

ORIGINAL RECEIPT or a Return Authorization Number. Item and packaging must be in NEW condition. Returns for

Our Story
Brothers George and Henry Kovall formed a partnership in the 1920s to sell apparel to local golf pros. In 1934 they incorporated in New York City as Mayflower-Medalist Ltd. After WWII they capitalized on their 5th Avenue location in two ways. First, they provided free office and meeting space for the Met. Section of the PGA at this prestigious location. Second, it was strategically located close to the largest Post Office in the country, which enabled Mayflower to lead in the concept of prompt shipments (UPS and Fedex did not exist yet, so all shipments went either by Railway Express or through the US Post Office).
The brother’s Kovall ventured into golf tees when Bullard Lumber Co. produced a wooden tee as an alternative to teeing balls up on a little mound of sand. Pride Mfg. expanded on this, and suggested setting up regional tee distributors. We have been a Pride distributor ever since.
In the 1960s Mayflower-Medalist began buying golf grips for a yet untapped "replacement" market. The concept took hold and replacing worn grips is now as common as replacing worn tires on your car.
With the replacement market clearly established, Mayflower Medalist became one of Golf Pride’s first distributors, and we remain the largest east coast grip distributor in the country. More recently Winn, SuperStroke, Lamkin, Tacki-Mac, and Avon have been added to our grip lines.
By 1976 Mayflower needed more space. A new industrial complex was purchased, thirteen miles from Manhattan, in Paterson, NJ. Two years later Mayflower moved to this site, and simultaneously began doing business as Golf Max to better identify the nature of our operations. Our new spacious location at the cross-roads of the NJ Turnpike, Interstate 80, the Garden State Parkway, and a score of local highways, air, and rail links enabled us to make our motto---"We are our customer’s warehouse"---a reality. Our dedication to quick, accurate service remains a hallmark of our business.
By 1990 we added a repair and custom club making service so we could better help our customers provide more "value added" services. To further support computer oriented golf professionals and specialty retailers, we added this wholesale level buying website in 2007.
In 2011 we added a second warehouse located in Georgia to better serve our Southeast customers. This second warehouse has allowed us to improve our delivery times for customers located in the Southeast, and has allowed us to continue on our commitment to providing all customers quick, reliable service.
In 2017 we opened our third warehouse in Ohio, to complement our two other locations, so that we could service the majority of the eastern half of the country with next day delivery. It is our continued dedication to service as we strive to be our customer’s local warehouse.
